COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Provide you with a general survey of the structural organization of the central nervous system, including many sensory and motor systems and higher integrative centers.

  • Familiarize you with clinical - neuroanatomical correlations as an exercise in understanding the normal anatomy and seeing its importance.

  • Assist you (1) in acquiring the language essential for understanding this course and future studies, and (2) using it in the identification of neuroanatomical structures and in clinical situations when feasible.
